MAA Member Wins Award

PATTAYA, 16 May 2024 – Muhammad Zaid Zainuddin, an MAA member and a lecturer in the Faculty of Dentistry, UiTM Sungai Buloh has brought the academic research credibility of Malaysian anatomists into spotlight when he managed to win the Prof. Nantawan Promplin Award in the 7th International Anatomical Sciences and Cell Biology Conference and 46th Annual Conference of the Anatomical Association of Thailand (7th IASCBC/ AAT46).

The award, given for the best oral presentation in teaching media or medical education, recognised Muhammad Zaid’s 15-minute presentation on “Simplifying Pterygopalatine Fossa Teaching Using 3D Paper Models”. Competing against three other notable presenters in this category, Muhammad Zaid’s presentation captivated the judges and earned top honors. His project was a collaborative effort with esteemed colleagues Ts. Dr. Norhayati Liaqat Ali Khan, Dr. Noor Azliza Wani Abd. Aziz, and Dr. Andrean Husin.

MAA extends its heartfelt congratulations to Muhammad Zaid and his team for this international recognition. We hope that this success motivates more researchers to pursue and showcase their innovative research globally, enhancing the reputation of Malaysian academia in the field of anatomical sciences.
