Every year on October 15, the global anatomy community commemorates World Anatomy Day (WAD) to honour Andreas Vesalius (1514–1564) — the pioneer often regarded as the founder of modern human anatomy. This celebration not only pays tribute to Vesalius’s enduring scientific legacy but also recognises the pivotal role of anatomy as the foundation of medical education worldwide.

In Malaysia, this year’s celebration brought together universities nationwide in a spirit of learning, creativity, and community engagement.

This year, we celebrate under the theme “Global Perspectives of Anatomy.” May this day remind us of the shared passion that unites anatomists worldwide in advancing knowledge, education, and discovery. 🌍
 

The AI for Writing Journal Article Workshop, held on 14th December 2024, successfully equipped participants, consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students with the knowledge and tools to enhance their scholarly writing through artificial intelligence. October 19: The Malaysian Anatomy Association (MAA), in collaboration with the Medical Faculty, UiTM Sungai Buloh, hosted the inaugural MAA Convention and Exhibition (MAACE) to celebrate World Anatomy Day. The theme was “Family Fun Anatomy Day”, and it attracted a total of 300 participants. This event was held concurrently with the Intervarsity Innovation Competition, showcasing 17 exhibits featuring innovation from 10 universities.
