Revolutionising Academic Writing: AI for Journal Article Workshop 2024

The AI for Writing Journal Article Workshop, held on 14th December 2024, successfully equipped participants, consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students with the knowledge and tools to enhance their scholarly writing through artificial intelligence. This interactive session provided valuable insights into how AI can enhance academic productivity and creativity.

Participants were introduced to a variety of AI tools that streamline the process of writing original research papers, review articles, and case reports, from brainstorming to final proofreading. They also engaged in practical exercises, allowing them to gain firsthand experience in optimising their workflow. The tips and tricks to fine-tune and enhance manuscripts with AI assistance were shared, helping participants achieve publication-ready quality. The issue of integrity and originality when integrating AI into academic writing were also discussed, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines.
