SMP-MAA Short Course in Clinical Anatomy for Medical Students (November 2025)

The Silent Mentor Programme Universiti Malaya (SMP UM) Short Course in Clinical An atomy for Medical Students (November 2025), in collaboration with the Malaysian Anatomical Association, was successfully completed on the 8 November 2025. Five trainers from the MAA, together with five trainers from the SMP, guided the one-day workshop and demonstrated key anatomical structures while highlighting their clinical relevance to participating medical students.

During the session, four Silent Mentors were engaged across four teaching stations. Students had been introduced to their Silent Mentors through an online briefing held a few days prior to the workshop, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the background of the Silent Mentors in advance.

The next SMP-MAA workshop is scheduled for 10 January 2026. This upcoming session is expected to be especially significant, as surgeons from Edinburgh will be present to share their expertise. Their involvement signals a meaningful collaborative effort, and it is hoped that more members of the MAA committee will be able to attend. Pencil the date into your schedule now and join us!
